Teaching Teens to Parallel Park

Updated: 4 days ago

Parallel Parking...It strikes fear into the heart of every new driver - and even many of us who are experienced drivers!

Parallel parking isn’t just a skill to know so that you can pass your Driver’s Test. It’s important to know how to do it well so that you can safely and successfully do it when you need to - and there will come a time when you need it!

If you need help teaching your teen how to parallel park, or would like a refresher yourself, check out this new video! It gives you 5 different viewpoints so that you can see exactly what to do and when in parallel parking.

After you watch the video, remember this: “Being a student is easy. Learning requires actual work.” — William Crawford.

You have to put into practice the things that you see and read! Watching this video alone won’t help your teen or you parallel park better. You have to actually go out and do it then! Find an empty parking lot or very quiet side street to practice on. And above all - remember to stay patient!
